Make your own conclusions!

Hello, lovelies!!!

Today i just bring you a quote from a very popular song at the moment. You know who this is from, yes Lady GodGa(Ga).

"I'm beautiful in my way 'cause God makes no mistakes. I am on the right track, baby, i was born this way!"

Summer resolutions | Part I

Hello, lovelies!!!

EN: Ok, so i am making a few resolutions for summer (end of spring), that i believe to be important and needed in order to change some aspects of my life that i am not so thrilled with.
I was a swimmer since i was 3 until i was 11(which explains the huge amount of muscle i have accumulated on my body).Grandma tells me the first time i got into a competition pool i was around 8/9 months and it was my grandpa’s swimming teacher that asked her to let me go with her into the water, she said i was a little ‘fish’.As there was no swimming for babies back in 1990 i just got into swimming classes when i was 3 and was on and off until i was 11/12,then i had to quit for too many reasons.
Now i am really thinking of going back, not only it makes me feel good, also it would and will be great for me to lose weight,to improve my lifestyle, physical condition and my health problems (both breathing ones and my spine problem), so i think i have my mind set on this. Maybe i will start with once a week and see how it goes, maybe then i can do a little more, maybe get back to swimming classes.
Who knows? What do you think? Should i go for it? After all,i am a lazy ass right now and i need some activity, and i love swimming more then any other sport,so…
I would prefer to swim every single day then have to run once a week (i so hate running.lol)

Happy Easter! + OOTD

Hello, lovelies!!!

EN: Happy Easter to all my sweet readers! I am not here to write much today, after all it's Easter day and i don't have much time to make a long post. I leave you with a quite simple OOTD, comfortable too but that in my honest opinion it shows my style quite well. By the wat, sorry for being barefoot but wearing shoes at home doesn't feel so well and i do believe my slippers would not look so well in the photos.

Proud of being portuguese!

Hello, lovelies!

First of all, this post will be entirely written in Portuguese, i'll make a small translation of the main ideas in the end and will link you to the translated page with translate google help which in my opinion is a fine tool, not 100% reliable but you get to understand the most of the post when i get to write them in portuguese.

Caras bloggers Portuguesas,

Acham que o The Paper and Ink vai sofrer consequências? Gostam?

In English:
From now on i'll make a few posts in portuguese, and in double language (portuguese+english, like this) as i came to find a huge blogsphere of portuguese bloggers and i believe it's important to communicate in my mother language first of all, not ever forgetting all the other ones out there. Translate Google may help you out and i'll do my best to don't let anyone out of my future posts.

Love you all, speak your mind!

Out with the old,in with the new.We are in honesty wave!

Hello, lovelies!!!

This is my new face. Hair change, dramatic cut, so much that it will get me a good while to get used to it. Everyone was questioning my idea, even my hairdressed asked me a good amount of tims if i wasn't regretting to cut so much hair, mostly knowing my hair was, surprisingly, in a great condition, no split ends, no nothing.

Let's be honest about this decision. I was dueling about the idea of writting this in Portuguese as i believe i'll start making some posts in Portuguese, but that's a question to still bring in some other day, however decided to do this in English as i believe this may be a problem to affect others then just me.

Ever since i can remember i had thick hair, a lot of hair, so much that when i was quite young my mother cut all of my lovely baby curls because i wouldn't let anyone brush my hair without screaming. I started with a small depression at the age of 14 and the front of my hair started to get sort of weak, but it was only the front and i guess i learnt to deal with it. Lately i have been noticing this thin hair is taking all over my hair (see here), my hair falls far too easily and it's scaring me very much so as i am extremely vain about my hair. I read and talked with a few times with the lovely D from Pearls,Lace and Ruffles. She was recently diagonised with alopecia and she told me that i should myself talk this through with my doctor, have exams made and see if i have the same problem or if it's something else, genetic or not. Truth be told i'm deeply afraid and trying to gather up the balls to mark an appointment. For now i made this super cut in my hair in order to make it stronger or at least see if it develops a little more. My hair grows imensly fast and i'll get back to a bigger lenght by the time of summer but for now i'm like this, a new face, loving it, fresh start sort of and trying to gave this problem a simpler solution, see if it works.

What do you think?

1,2,3 steps! Do it!

Hello, lovelies!

Just got back from a quick visit to the mall and decided to stop by Sephora and decided to finally give this Clinique 3 Step kit a go.
I paid 26,50€ for it, the products are rather small sized but you actually don't need much to clean your skin.
With all the great reviews i heard about this product this better be a really good thing. Tried this just a few minutes ago and my skin feels quite clean and smooth, so i think that may be a good thing.
I got myself the Type 3 - Combination Oily. You have it in 4 different types, so if you want to get this you better know well what your skin type is. I do know Clinique offer some professional help in some centers and you can check your skin type for free.

Give me some two weeks or less and i believe i will be able to do a proper review.

This is the real me!

Hello, lovelies...

This is by far the most honest image i ever posted. This is the raw reality and something i have been thinking of doing for long.
This is me,withou liquify tools, without any less or any more of what i really have. I did edit the colors a bit, gave it some contrast, but what you see here is the real me, just as i am, with no fear, no regrets.

I thought well about this, mostly because somewhat i am tired of all the girls around me crying herselves to how they skinny they want to be for summer, how they want their bones to be exposed, how they want their legs not to touch, how they want this and that, how they even put theirselves to starvation if needed to achieve that. Well, i love myself with all that i am. Do i feel intimidated sometimes? Yes,i do. Do i feel embarassed at some points when i wear less clothes? Without a doubt. However i can still smile at who i am, i don't mind being bigger then most of my friends, having stretch-marks, huge muscles legs and arms, i still love myself and i think that it took me a while to deal with this. I was overweighted ever since i was four or so but right now, at the age of 21 i love myself just as i am, with all the extra curves, all the little things, i won't hide myself and that's it.

I would have a lot more to say but i think sometimes images speak for a 1000 words. If you feel bothered you're more then welcome to leave, if you want to speak your mind please do so, if you don't have nothing to say just think about this. I am not what the society expects me to be, i am however who i am supposed to love.

Please, love yourselves for who you are!

Dress - H&M | Coat - Primark | Tights - Primark | Boots - Primark | Bag - Pull&Bear

Hello, lovelies!!!

First of all thanks to all the sweets who wished me a happy birthday. You all made me so happy yesterday and i really had a fabulous, tiring and long, amazing day!!!
As i said i would have the little afternoon delight after college with some of my loved ones i made plenty of photos that i'm sharing here with you. Of course i'm not showing all, but a good part and the best ones are here.

We went down to La Boulangerie de Paris, i had a little strawberry tart, coffee macaron and cappuccino.

My best friend Marco and the darling Lulu (find her here) with one of the cuttest cameras i have ever seen!

Group photo, my brother missing in this one. Rafa, me,Lulu,Lae and Marco.

Miss cute over the limits Rafaela.

Lulu and her sweet Gertrude Rose.

Coffee macaron! Oh heaven!

Second group photo. This time my brother first, Rafa, Lulu, Marco and Lae.

A man between beautiful woman. He looks adorable and they look..well,lovelie and nutsie.

I think this is one of the sweetest photos i have took in quite a while.

This is a very typical photos every time we have a party.

Tulips given by my sweet, sweet grandmother. She knows those are my favorite flowes and ordered them specially for me,as in the past years every time she wants to give me some she never finds them.

Strawberry cake. I spent a whole year saying i had to have one,as last year the order was not right and i got a chocolate cake...i like chocolate you know, but i love strawberries and this cake is one fo my favorites.

I don't even know, this photos is quite weird, but well, let's post it here an try to be so self-conscious.

Planning a little going out on Saturday night, mostly with the same people.Maybe sushi for dinner and then we come over here,my place, for a fun night. Who said that you have to go out and club to have a great time?

Oh and a little surprise for you!!!!!!

This brat was born 21 years ago!

21 years ago, not around midnight but actually at 5.50pm i was crying my lungs out and announcing myself to the world.
21 years later i am not yelling because my neighboors would probably kill me but preparing myself to get to bed,get up at 7 am and have a super full day.
College from 8.30am to 11.30am, work reunion over college from 11.30am to 1pm. LUNCH with my college mates!!! Draw class from 2pm to 5pm. Get the hell out fo college, hit downtown, get my loves and get a fantastic brunch/snack/afternoon delight, come home, go see my grandmother, see what i have around, home party and well...guess it will be about it. Not that you're interested,but...thought you should know.
Photos to come,a lot of photos to come!!! Jo in heels, in such a full day, i guess the next post will come from the under world or something.

Hints of Spring

Hello, lovelies!!!

Oh,Spring feels so good through this past days! The sun shines in the sky, the weather is warm, welcoming and nice, it makes you smile, run, jump and you just want to wear pretty clothes, vivid colors. I love you April and i love you Spring!

I don't really wear this dress much,i have it since August last year and if i used it four times it was a lot.It happens that every time i put it on some naughty wind goes on and the Marilyn Monroe effect is such a pain in the ass, plus, it doesn't fit me in the best, my opinion, but i still love it. I am weirdo, i know.
Anyway, this time decided to put it out of the closet and pair it with oxford shoes and a coco hat and it was overall a good idea, despite the ocasional wind!

Dress - H&M | Hat -Blanco | Satchel Bag - Blanco | Swallow Ring - Primark | Oxford Shoes - Primark

This was a very non-typical Saturday for me and this going out where i got the chance to take outfit photos (done by my great friend Joana) was actually a work going out. Work as in the matter of i am probably setting myself for a 15 days work in a contemporary art gallery. I won't work the 15 days, we'll work in shifts, but i couldn't loose this chance, the money comes nicely but so comes the knowledge within my area of study, the contact with artists, know how the business is by being inside it. We talked for a good two hours or so with the commissioner of this specific exhibit and we still have a few things to arrange but the exhibit opens up on the 13th and closes by May 1st.

Now just to make you all a little jeaulous, this how my afternoon ended before i came home...

Waffles with chocolate, and a really nice passion fruit juice!!!

OOTD - Baby,it's warm outside!

Hello, lovelies!!!

New day, new OOTD. Spring is just so good, the weather is so fabulous, everything is sunny, warm and all the colors around are pretty, everything feeling nice and going around during lunch break with my dear friend Joana (yes, another Joana) to get lunch and snap a few photos feel like something that i should be doing every single day. Well, maybe not every day,but much more often then what i usually do.

How,do you know those amazing fashion bloogers with outfits that always look amazing? You know, pretty dresses, flowly skirts, amazing smiles, great hair and such? Too bad i'm not like that. For college i mostly wear jeans, being an arts student makes us move a lot, have to sometimes sit on the floor and you can imagine how bad it can be to do it with pretty clothes. Plus, i'm always short on time and my hair surely doesn't like to go on with my wishes. Tut tut, miss Jo!

Hat - Blanco
Top - Modalfa
Tunic - H&M
Trench Coat - Primark
Jeans - C&A
Boots - Primark
Bag - Blanco

Joana really knows how to takes some nice photos even if this was her first time picking up a DSLR.Loved them soo much that i knew i had to share.

See? Spring!!!! Doesn't it look beautiful????

Hope you're all having an amazing day!
